fuente cigars

A better way to put it would be that Cuba is to premium cigars what France is to premium wines; a benchmark or standard. So much has changed in 15 years, including LGC being bought by General Cigar to even in the last year Ernesto leaving La Gloria to start off on his own again. My good short cigar was the Punch Rothschild, but I now have another good short smoke; the Punch Champion. At about $3 a stick and under 60 minutes of smoke time, this stick is the perfect after dinner cigar, providing a nice creamy smoke bursting with flavors of vanilla and amaretto. It was well-packed with an attractive cap that clipped off perfectly la gloria cubana exposing just the right amount of tobacco at the head. The smoke opens with some raisin flavors before settling into a complex medium-bodied profile with oak, toast, leather, and some piney sweetness. Equally impressive is the construction which, in addition to a straight burn and managable draw, requires only one ashing the entire smoke. The most well-balanced fuente cigars smoked recently, too. The alec Bradley and smoking jacket. It is so nice to start a fire and curl up in one of the chairs with a book. After the first inch or so they flavors begin to develop nicely, leaving an earthy sweetness with a real mustiness in the aroma. Very tasty!
